2. General information
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable German data protection law. This policy explains what data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
When you use this website, various types of personal data are collected. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified. You can access our website without providing personal data beyond what your browser automatically transmits.
3. Hosting (IONOS)
Our website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (“IONOS”). When you visit our website, IONOS processes various data, including IP addresses, in server log files. The use of IONOS is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in the reliable and secure presentation of our website. We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with IONOS in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. The servers are located in Germany.
4. Server log files
The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing device, time of the server request, and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of our website.
5. Contact form and enquiries (WPForms)
We use the WPForms plugin to operate our quotation enquiry form. If you send us an enquiry via the form, by e-mail or by telephone, the data you provide (e.g. name, company, e-mail address, telephone number and your message) will be processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry and any follow-up questions.
We process this data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where requested.
The data you enter will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
6. Translation (TranslatePress)
We use the TranslatePress plugin to provide our website in several languages. The plugin runs on our own server (within the WordPress installation hosted at IONOS). Translation processing does not, as a rule, transmit your personal data to third parties for this purpose.
7. Web analytics (Ahrefs Analytics)
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Ahrefs Pte. Ltd. Ahrefs Web Analytics works without cookies and does not collect personal data that would allow individual visitors to be identified; it does not create user profiles across websites. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in the statistical, privacy-friendly analysis of visitor traffic to improve our website.
8. Fonts (Google Fonts, locally hosted)
To present our content in a uniform manner, we use the fonts “Cormorant Garamond” and “DM Sans” (Google Fonts). These fonts are hosted locally on our own server. No connection to Google’s servers is established when you visit our website, and no data (in particular your IP address) is transferred to Google for this purpose.
9. SSL/TLS encryption
This site uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in the address bar of your browser.
10. Your rights
You have the right at any time to: information about your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR); rectification (Art. 16); erasure (Art. 17); restriction of processing (Art. 18); data portability (Art. 20); and to object to processing (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may revoke that consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3)).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the data protection supervisory authority of Rhineland-Palatinate (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz).
11. Status and changes
This privacy policy is currently valid. As our website develops or due to changed legal requirements, it may become necessary to amend this policy.
